VEIL OF DARKNESS

A specialized defensive discipline used when holding the front line. You conjure
a suffocating cloud of pitch darkness over an enemy, blinding them and severely
neutralizing their offensive striking power.

Usage: veil
       veil of darkness

Blinds and disarms the enemy, reducing their incoming physical melee damage by a
factor of 3 to 10. Damage reduction is guaranteed for the first round, has a 35%
chance to break on the second round, and a 25% wear-off chance each round after
that.

Costs 35 Shadow Points and causes 2 rounds of combat lag. Because this technique
relies on direct front-line engagement, it can only be used on an opponent that
is actively attacking you.
